Players out of position

I get that you can train any player to play in any position. I would love to see that developers put a deduction in Star rating if a player plays out of position once you have a player that has got a 115 star rating this basicly means you can play a prop on flyhalf for me that takes away a bit of realism from the game

If it were possible to recruit a team with correct players in each position, I might personally agree with you; however, as it's not, I don't. Without this ability, the game would not be playable IMHO.

It's more than possible to find players for each position. I have a full team all correct positions and a full sub team all correct positions. And im at lvl 15 just in case you say it's alot harder to find players at higher lvls.

I agree Ash i have a level 15 team with players are playing in rightfull positions and almost 82 star level I pay more recruiter points because I feel a flyhalf should be flyhalf and a prop should not be wing just because he is maxed out on ratings I also have a full sub's team that's why I say it is possible to get players in proper position and prepose a deduction in skill level is played out of position. Would be funny in real live if a player like Beast Matawarira plays wing for South Africa or Dan Carter plays hooker for the All Blacks

But respect the opinion of Waspy thanks for the feedback

Well I'm at L16, and really it's not.

However, as in the real world, if you play a player out of position, you have to train him up appropriately first or he won't be any good. So really this isn't an issue at all - and I know some people say you can't take a back and make him a front row, but they're wrong - it happens in real life, so it should be able to happen in the game. Tom Youngs started his professional career as a centre, now he's a hooker, as just one example. Rugby is, after all, a late specialisation game. Can't see why this version should be any different, but the point is they have to be trained for it - the original position means pretty much nothing, what someone is trained for is what counts.

in the real world a first 5 could never be a prop. no matter how well you train him .. nor would you ever see a half back playing hooker...you might see a no 8 on the wing but there are down falls to big guys playing wing..
game has a kind of color code to players . why not just code in you can only put players with same color in same spots eg no 8 plays blind and open side flanker... but watching a team of big heavey no 8s get around a team with ppl in right spots is stupid.. and nothing like real life .. played enough years of rugby to understand not everyone was created equal and they cant all be the first 5 ...

also disagree with comment you cant have team in right spots .... thats just bad tactics that you spent more coins chasing no8s and 15s with high training and energy %, as it seems to me they both seem to be above the other players for both training and health %

I think Killer is on to something with the colour code idea it would be more realistic playing players in correct positions rather playing against a team having 7 number 8 and 8 number 15s on the field

I agree with killer kiwi the fact you are only one lvl above me a deem it impossible or extremely unlikely to get players in said set position is poor management on urban part. I have a 2 complete teams all playing in the said position and all with 150%-199% training.
But I agree that there should be a slight reduction of skill for playing a player out of colour code.
