What do the colours mean

On the rugby strategy screen there are players in fout different colours on the field. What do those colours mean?
Nr 1 - 5 is red, number 6 - 10 is yellow, nr 11 - 14 is green and 15 is blue. Its just to differentiate between player positions.

I believe it's a throwback to the games origins, which was a football (soccer) management game, when the 4 colours made more sense; Blue - GK, Green - Defenders, Yellow - Midfield, Red - Attack.

Obviously the colours didn't transpose over from the round ball to the egg-shaped ball so well!
