You get allocated points to a specific player to improve the quality (stars) of that player. I see some teams have the majority of their players on a low quality (eg. 6 to 7 stars per player) and a few on a very high quality. (eg.80+ stars). Please explain how this works?

It's probably somebody that quit playing the game and the 80+ star players are the players that haven't retired yet.
