Tries - Lack of them!

I’m curious, I play on and off but one thing still confuses me, I don’t score many tries. Even when I win it’s usually from penalties.

Is there something very basic that I’m doing wrong? Can someone at least give me some insight on how the tactics influence the ability to score tries?

Maybe if you set your kicking rate reasonably low for your 12 and 13 but try and max out their speed/penettation strength/safe hand off you should run in more tries. Maybe only have 2 players who kick and the rest set at 0.

I second that thought. You don't even need to put penetration to 100% on the player 'Strategy Instructions' if you train the player well with penetration, attack acceleration and speed skills. Depends how much you want the player in question to pass.

When you just start out in the lower levels tries are hard to come by. Like the guys said, get your training right and you'll eventually start seeing those tries being scored.
