In several instances I have played friendly matches and this has been allocated to a team that has previously been defeated and cleared from the field. This means that instead of a yellow icon I receive a green match icon, this means that it is even harder to grow my team as these matches do not appear to garner players.
This game has no Yellow or Red cards, whilst the football version has both.

Well, instead of playing friendlies against teams you have beaten before, you need to go back to the map and play training games against new teams. The game doesn't allocate who you play in friendlies, it is entirely your choice.
