does any one know how the point system works for champ games? Jonah era and my self were both on same points. we play our games. he beats his guy 27-0 I beat mine 42-0 yet some how I end up 1 point over him? can you get more than 1 extra bouns point for a win? ty

Its the same as the old super rugby rules 4 trys for a bonus point or a loss of less than 7

I would guess 27 points is 3 converted tries and 2 penalties. Therefore he would not get a bonus point. Simples

Sure if you get 42 points with a loss and they get less than 49 points you come away with 2 points both being bonus

It's the bonus point system as used in most European rugby - try bonus point for 4 tries, losing bonus point for losing by 7 points or less - only way to get 2 bonus points is to lose by 7 or less and score 4 tries.

GA - 38
PT - 5

So this guy has won his first match in championship 14, beat his opponent 38 - 0 and came away with 5 points. I think there is either some incorrect information in here or there may be a gremlin about.

6 tries at 5 each =30, 4 conversions =8 total 38
4 points for win + 1 try bonus point for 4 tries.

Or 5 tries all converted and a penalty

Not at all, it's exactly in line with what I was saying; he's got 4 points for the win, and 1 point for scoring 4 (or more) tries = 5 points, the maximum you can get from a game.

You don't get a bonus point for 3 tries, but for four. There's no additional bonus point for scoring any more, however many you score.
