Where did my championship league go?

This morning I was doing well, coming 2nd in a 26 team championship about half way through. In the afternoon, I was 13th in a 14 team championship on it's last day. Similar thing happened to someone else in my guild. What happened?

The 26 teams championship was due to a bug that has been fixed today.
A new championship will start in 3 days.
