The drop goal system needs re-evaluating. I've now scored 3, all from within 10 metres when my player was clean through and could have scored a try under the posts.
Also it's really frustrating when a player is about to score and the clock hits 80 minutes for him to kick the ball out. When points difference is important in league standings, think we'd all prefer to have the 7 points

Can't say I've seen the first problem - my guy only appears to drop at goal when there's a defender he doesn't look likely to beat; otherwise, he scores tries. I'm not sure what has an effect - obviously the drop-kick rate will, as well as distance, but I have them set high. I suspect it's that I have penetration rate slightly higher than kick rate in my kicker's strategy settings.
Anyway, it can be done, so have a fiddle with your settings.

As to the other one, quite agree.

I have noticed this too with high drop settings. It stopped when I decreased them.
