A simple question, why should I bother building a hall and joining a Guild?

You can give out and get heal kits, which are always helpful. Also I think the next update will see further developments for guilds and indeed the Strategy building.

Just for the health kits its worth it not worrying about injuries and then you find a decent guild that helps with advice
You should join a guild. As others said, the health kits are really good. It doesn't cost you anything to give, nor ask, and it's just simply a case of tapping a button to help your guild mates and also waiting for their help for you..
