Am I playing this game all wrong?

I recently bought a 31 yo fully maxed 185* player with a training rate of 194% and an accumulation of 7,525 training points. How does this happen? Assuming he was purchased at 18 and he was already fully maxed at 185* (which I'm certain was not the case) and he was sold on the last day of each championship so he remainec in the same championship (which isnt even possible since this level has only existed for 20 days). Assuming those things he would have acquired 750ish training points per season. How do you get this many points in a season? What am I doing wrong?
Not using your credit card is my best guess. It sucks to be poor, I know.
Even with a card, how/why would you get so many points?
Yep. Someone has spent a LOT of money on Gold balls for training.

Everytime you buy a one time offer your gold balls received with the offer doubles. If a player buys say 10 of the one time offers they'll have 50 000 odd gold balls. Thats 5000 extensive training sessions in a single season. Times that by 10 seasons and you have the lovechild of Superman and Chuck Norris.

Don't think you're doing much wrong going by your track record BM.
Did your newly acquired player have a Welsh accent by any chance
