CHEATING

Lots of players disagree with MB in the game and many have repeatedly asked Sweet Nitro to remove it. But it is still in their game and using it is not cheating. This is not an opinion, it is a fact, and I does not mean that like having it in the game.

It is perfectly possible to play rugby in the spirit that it is meant to be played in (including getting away with whatever you can on the field, then shaking hands and heading off with the oppo to the pub) and to play this app in a totally different manner. It is also perfectly acceptable to constantly push Sweet Nito to change things within the game that you don’t agree with.

I think some posts on this thread have confused playing this game with playing rugby in the real world. In exactly the same way that they have confused the meaning of the word “morale”.

MB is one thing. what about match fixing? Agreeing on a draw before playing a game?
Does it really match the rugby spirit? Honestly?

Nobody is confusing playing rugby here with playing rugby in the real world. It s about playing rugby here with the rugby spirit (even if there are some unrealistic aspects.. it s a game...).
But I would personally disagree that match fixing is part of the rugby spirit. But happy to debate and understand somebody’e else point of you

I have previously posted my objection to match fixing when it was being done to produce 3 point each draws and Sweet Nitro addressed this. I think that I disagree with teams from different Guilds fixing draws, but I’m not totally sure if it is ok for teams from the same Guild to do it. But Sweet Nitro do not have rules against this within their game. By all means argue that they should, but you can’t accuse players who do this of cheating.

Any form of match fixing in rugby would unquestionably break rules, go against the spirit of the game and be cheating.

The two are not the same.

Now I'm going to be honest, your above post looks like Charlie browns teacher talking bwawawawa, some I'm assuming you are repeating what you have said. If so you have an argument with a premise that you report comes from me that I say does not come from me. Since it is your premise you have the burden of proof. Support your premise with a quote from me or realize this is a strawman as I suggest. So prove it is my statement from my quote or we all know it's a strawman. And also, read what Hutchie has to say, it may further burst your bubble and harm your moral(e).

Wow.. I am speechless... Charlie Brown... that s your reference?? Now I understand a little bit better your level of responses.

The difference here, is that I am happy to discuss with Hutchie and understand his point of view, as he hasn t started by an insult like you did.
On the opposite side... nobody cares what you say anymore, as the first thing you do is to insult people... and claim you know the thruth (and that you are so smart...).
Hence, you re definetly the last person being able to talk about morale.
Show a quote that supports your premise or it's proven it's a strawman.
And if you notice something familiar with hutchies statements, maybe you can realize he is saying what I have said, just not responding to your insults with better insults like I enjoy doing.

If I understand you well we completely agree.
I mentioned several times that I respect both views.: (look at my first comment in this discussion.. and BM’s response to my comment..)
There’s:
- the “Gamers” view (and gamers is not a pejorative term), respect Sweet Nitro rules.. For them match fixing is fair as it doesn t break any rule in the game
- the Rugby fans / Rugby players / ex-Rugby players (sorry there’s not a single word to define it), who believe in the Rugby spirit... and for whom match fixing is cheating.

I mentioned in a past post that “Gamers are not the bad boys”..
Nobody is right or wrong.. The players are just respecting different rules (Sweet Nitro vs. Rugby spirit).

Our friend’s black monks point of view was to say.. it s not breaking the rules.. it s niggling.. with a bunch of smart insults.. as he cannot undersant that there s 2 point of views (and that people can have a different opinion than him).

So, I fully agree with you in case you say that both views are respectable... and Sweet Nitro has the final word... until they decide (or not) to make such methods “illegal”... gamers will continue to use those methods, while other players will perfer to play with the Rugby spirit...

If you say that “it s just not cheating” and do not respect people who can think it s cheating.. then I disagree... there are many people here who believe it s cheating... and you should also respect this point of view.

And I agree totally with DHSFP, who agrees totally with Black Monks. There you go, you have, somewhat surprisingly, achieved a consensus.

So now, after 17 pages of strawman arguments you agree with Hutchie. Gotta love the logic!!!!

I think you should read my response again... and I completely disagree with you, as on your side you just say “it s not cheating” and you don’t respect people who do not share your point of view.

So, I do not respect yourway of thinking, I do not respect your values.. hence I do not respect you..

With this statement you are saying that if you are a real rugby fan/player/ex player you agree with you. Therefore if you disagree with you then it shows you are not a real rugby fan/player/ex player. This is where all of this started. I say you are a fool if you think in this black and white terms. So a real rugby player can think it's cheating (I don't), or a real rugby player can think it's niggle and against the spirit of the game but not cheating (this is where I am), or a real rugby player can think it's niggle and not against the spirit of the game (not where I am) or a real rugby player can think it's fine (also not where I am).
