Personally, I prefer whitewash.


England tried whitewash and ended up with a nasty green stain at the end. Not a good look


Can we just gloss over that one?

England tried gloss and it started to run... still looked good for a while granted but you could see through it if you looked hard enough

Oh No, we have a massive thread derailment here. Any competent decorator will tell you that watching paint dry is the time to switch off your brain and have a brew. Whereas papering takes skill and concentration.
