My team morale has plummeted overnight from 54% to 23%. Why would this happen. I know salary affects morale, but I actually raised that a bit yesterday. And we have been winning matches.
In addition I notice the time remaining to bid on new players for recruitment has gone from minutes to over 9 hours. Is this a part of the recent patch?

Your players may want a bigger salary when you go up to the next championship. Salary is the only thing that affects moral.
About the auctions, it will return to normal with the time.

In a match simulation, every players' attributes are multiplied by (0.5 + energy * 0.25 + moral * 0.25) * (1 + match_bonus)
