I'm new to the game and my kicker keeps missing really easy conversions. Is this normal? I've got decent stat as I bought him special. About 30 on kicking.

Yeah it's pretty normal, just put your penalty distance down in the strategy til he gets better and max out his kicking with manual training... As you go up leagues it will get better.
