Chat is great, but it would be nice if we could have guild forums so we can retain useful bits of advice etc.

just make a group page on fb for your guild its not exactly what you want but close enough

Yeah, there are plenty of external options, but gameplay is easier if it's integrated, and it's better for the developer, too, to keep people in-game.
