My kicker has missed about 50 % of his extra point tries and it is costing me games. My player skill limit is 45 and I know that is not great but both accuracy and distance are at 45. Is it normal to be missing this much?

Hi I also miss about 50% of my extra points but as I watch my matches, its always my KR's that do the kicking? NO MATTER WHERE I POSITION MY KICKER IN THE FORMATION, HE'S NOT THE ONE DOING THE KICKING? Please help! What am i missing here?
