Like why do people put themself as No MB when they blatantly do?

I see a lot of these players mainly the ones displaying south African flags claiming to be No MB required and whilst I get there is some great players and very good guilds on this game I tend to find that most players that say NO MB required are some of the biggest Mb's in the game how do I know during game play their players look like usain bolt it's blatantly obvious.

I'm just getting a bit wound up with the whole MB thing it just needs to be scrapped there is no skill no these players who buy wins and in he real world you can't make your players run like an Olympic sprinter by paying out to win so why is it allowed on here? Just a farce really and stops the genuinely good players from progressing at the same rate

Dunno, but I agree that anyone with "No MB" in their name is generally flagging up the fact that they do indeed use MB.

I agree that MB spoils the game Ash but I don't worry about it too much. I use a "tit for tat" policy in my matches. If someone plays fair against me I will reciprocate, however, if they use MB I will also use it against them. I would prefer it did not exist but until they get rid of it, 2 can play the same game!

I have also noticed it is mainly French Guilds we play that use MB. S. Africans are not as bad in my experience.

There has been much heated debate on this topic. Some of them admit they do it as a con to try to take advantage of people, some deny the use of mb and state they are just magically greater than anyone else, and some say the no mb means in gvg but in championships they still use mb. Thankfully there has been a reduction of the number of top level players with no mb in their name. Ultimately you can know for a fact that anyone in the top level that says no mb is either telling a lie or they mean in gvg. To get to the top level some mb is necessary. I still know of only one that stated no mb to get to the top level that didn't have anyone denying it, and they are long retired.

The thing that annoys me is that the makers suggested no MB would be the case when we/you reach level 50. It would seem that may not be the case, but hope I am wrong.

As for the 'no MB' tag in the name, I have always ignored it. The most 'trustworthy people' tend to be those who tell what they do, do, not what they do not.

I have got a fair amount of grief about MB usage, but I have tried to be consistent. I always use MB in Championship games, until I am save from relegation/non promotion. I do not use MB in Cup games, and do not in GvG, with one possible exception:

If my guild was losing 25-24 and I was the only one left to play my final game; if I thought the game could be competitive, I would MB.

There certainly are South African guilds using MB in GVG - we have been on the receiving end of it. But we have also often been on the receiving end of MB users from French, Welsh, English and Italian guilds. So what?

Many of the South African guilds are actually just really good and have better than decent strategies. If you suspect they used MB then play a friendly afterwards and see if there is a big difference - and take note whether he is playing with the same strategy or not.

I think there may be residue from what was probably the best south African guild and the name alluded to no mb use. However, they all used mb (all guilds do eventually in championship so no judgement) and some denied the use while some openly acknowledged it. I may be wrong and the thoughts posted above about south Africans has nothing to do with it. But when you are your countries best you influence thoughts of that country the most, good or bad.

Personally I think it is a "culture" thing and nothing to do with nationalities (ALL are guilty). If you are part of a Guild which doesn't like MB then you will be less likely to use it yourself. If however, you are part of a Guild that condones it's use then you are more likely to use it. If you are strong enough willed yourself, you will do your own thing regardless.

Just my take.

Why, Caernarfon? I'm a member here just like anybody else; I'm entitled to an opinion and to express it, just like anybody else. I've not named anybody, nor, for the record, do I agree that South Africans stick out as the worst for this particular habit, as I was attempting to indicate, I think it's general. If you genuinely believe that people who put "No MB" in their names don't use MB, you're in a tiny minority, probably of one. It's not even a controversial thing to say.
Don't you dare try to censor what people say within the rules of the forum, it's beyond outrageous.
