Nihat, if you follow Pierre's instruction you'll see on that window a tab that says "Sell -10" - click on the sell tab then okay then the player will go in the market..

- for how long? - and at what price?
Do all player auctions start at 1 in this game?
and is there any option to vary the length of the auction?

The auction lasts for 24 hours at the end of which, if no one bought your player, he is removed from your team.
